A great alternative choice for staying near Alice Springs. Only 10 minutes from town. We stayed in July, which was pretty cold in the mornings though we did sleep warm with comforters and electric blankets. "The place looked abandoned & not open. Absolutely zero communication from the host about checkin process. The property had no access, was surrounded by a high wall & had high grass surrounding it on all sides. I repeat - it looked abandoned & very sketchy. My husband decided not to even stay there because it did not look to be in a safe area. We went to the Hilton Doubletree instead, which is a lovely hotel in Alice. I cannot recommend anything at all about VATU Sanctuary. "
